The Passaic County Film Festival happened on April 13th 2019. This day was very stressful but also an amazing opportunity for my film career.

A couple months prior, I submitted a short documentary I made called I am a Filmmaker. At first I wasn't going to participate in this festival because I thought I would be laughed at or humiliated by others. I also thought my film was no good and I had no chance of winning. Although I had so many negative thoughts about participating in this film festival, I somehow brought myself to send in my documentary.

A couple of months had passed when I received the email that my documentary would be screened at a movie theatre. I had the most ridiculous look on my face from the excitement that email gave me. There were 79 films entered into the festival but only 21 were screened at the movie theatre. I honestly was shocked that I was chosen but excitement took over as I believe this was a huge step towards my career.

April 13th 2019 was the moment I realized I could actually become something in this world. Nothing can ever top the sound of laughter caused by my documentary. Nothing can top the cheering after my documentary was over. Nothing can top the crazy feeling of my name being said out loud as I won my award. Nothing can top April 13th 2019.

A VERY unforgettable day for a young filmmaker like myself.
